Portland Dahlia Society is a dedicated group of people that work throughout the year to put up what is now one of the Largest Dahlia shows in Australia. It takes a lot of hard work with most of us growing dahlias and roses for our show and support other Victorian Shows such as Winchelsea, Tyrendarra and Shepparton.
The Dahlia & Rose show feature's a fabulous display of Roses by Treloar’s Roses in the foyer with the inner wall of the hall covered in Quilts by Portland Pioneer Quilters.
The Dahlia & Rose show attracts Dahlia enthusiasts from overseas and exhibitors from South Australia, New South Wales and Victorian clubs making it a high standard show.
To become an exhibitor download the show schedule.
We hold demonstration Days throughout the year that cover all aspects of digging, dividing & storing tubers. On our web site we have short video's made from some of our demonstration days.

Portland is on the coast and 70 km from the South Australian border, a rural city of around 12,000. We have a large airport and a very busy Port and a large recreational fishing fleet. Amateur Fishermen from over Australia are attracted to Portland because of the exceptional Tuna Fishing.
There is plenty to see when you get here such as the mass plantings of Dahlias in the Portland Botanic Gardens, member’s gardens & great Coastal Scenery.
