The Dahlia Society of Victoria Inc. was formed by a group of dahlia enthusiasts in 1960. One of the society’s main aims is the encouragement and promotion of dahlia culture.
The society meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month September through to May.
Guest speakers are a highlight of the meetings which start at 7:30pm.
Meetings are held at the Mt. Waverley Community Centre corner Stephensons Rd and Miller Crescent Mt Waverley where there is ample off street parking.
The society holds its Annual Dahlia Show at the Mt. Waverley Community Centre with free entry to members and their partners.
At the October meeting a members tuber auction is held and at the November meeting a members tuber and green plant auction is held. These auctions enable members to purchase dahlias at a great price.
