Dahlia Society of South Australia is a Specialist Society dedicated to the promotion of the Dahlia. Our Society has been in existence since 1888 with a much-beloved history with success in growing, showing and breeding the Highest Quality Dahlia’s both locally and internationally.
Our members range in diversity from the home gardener, the cut flower specialist to the enthusiastic exhibitors, all sharing the one passion, The Dahlia.
Membership
Dahlia Society of South Australia welcomes anyone wishing to increase their knowledge, enjoyment and appreciation of Dahlia’s.
As a member you will receive monthly newsletters detailing the latest seasonal tips and tricks along with beneficial support from all of our members, throughout the season, so you can get the best out of your Dahlias!

Show Dates
Show dates in South Australia are listed on our web site and show cased of face book
Our member’s proudly exhibit Dahlia’s at Horticultural Shows during the flowering season (February to April) and some also make blooms available for sale at the end of the show. Shows attended by our exhibitors include the Mannum, Angaston, Tanunda, Mount Pleasant, Mount Barker and Enfield shows.
Tuber Sales
Each year our Members donate Exhibition Quality Dahlia’s for you to purchase. There are hundreds of Tubers for sale with the Name, Colour and Size of the Dahlia on each bag. Visit our website for a comprehensive photo gallery here.
